Public Remarks: Here's a nicely updated home on the best canal in Holmes Beach, complete with a lovely pool, newer seawall, boat lift, low maintenance landscaping, and a very short distance to what may be the best beach on the island. Especially if you have a sailboat, this deep water canal is a straight shot into Bimini Bay, out the Key Royale channel and into Tampa Bay and the Gulf in a matter of a few minutes. Walk out your front door and turn the other way, and you're just a short stroll to the beach at 77th Street,which has a shade structure maintained there by the neighbors for more than 30 years. Inside, the great room affords room to entertain family and friends, and the split floor plan keeps things private for most everyone. There's lots of updating evident, from the ceramic tile everywhere to the crown molding. But both bathrooms have been preserved with old-timey wall tiles and vanities, and you'll see why when you take a look at this super-clean residence. The landscaping is attractive, but super-low maintenance. The boat lift is capable of handling most fishing-type vessels and the personal watercraft lift is ideal for lightweight boats. It has been lightly used as a seasonal rental, winters only (which practically pays for taxes and insurance).
